OUR STORY

Forte Piano Teachers began in 2012, originally known as Muswell Hill Piano Teachers. What started as a small agency with just two teachers in North London has since grown into a thriving network of passionate, professional piano educators. Today, we work with hundreds of students across London and Brighton & Hove, helping them find the right teacher to inspire their musical journey.
A Personal Approach
Forte is led by Daisy Dicker-Holton, a music graduate from the University of Leeds and a piano teacher with over 15 years of experience. Daisy is passionate about music education and personally interviews every teacher who joins the Forte network. She looks for individuals who not only excel as musicians but who genuinely love teaching and are committed to their students’ long-term development.
Many of our original teachers are still with us today—a reflection of the strong, supportive community we’ve built over the years.
Expert Teachers, Tailored Lessons
All Forte teachers are highly qualified and experienced pianists, each bringing their own unique strengths and teaching styles. Whether you’re looking for lessons in Classical, Jazz, Pop, Music Theory, or preparing for graded exams, we’ll match you with a teacher who fits your goals and learning style. We also offer flexible teaching approaches for students who enjoy a mix of genres or are just beginning their musical journey.
Above all, we believe great teaching combines expertise with empathy. Our teachers are chosen not only for their skills but for their patience, understanding, and ability to make lessons both enjoyable and rewarding.
Performance Opportunities
Music is meant to be shared, and we’re proud to host twice-yearly student concerts in both London and Brighton. These informal, supportive events—held in spring and autumn—give students of all ages and levels the chance to perform, build confidence, and celebrate their progress.
