OUR STORY

Forte piano teachers started under the name Muswell Hill Piano Teachers in 2012. We began as a small agency with just two teachers based in Muswell Hill, North London. 11 years later Forte Piano Teachers has become a wonderful collective of teachers with a wide range of teaching styles and specialisms. Hundreds of students across London and Brighton and Hove are now enjoying lessons with a teacher we have recommended.

Forte Piano Teachers is run by Daisy Dicker-Holton, a music graduate from the University of Leeds. Daisy is an experienced piano teacher of over 15 years and is passionate about the piano. Daisy interviews all teachers when they first join Forte Piano Teachers and is looking for teachers who love the piano and love to teach! We also make every effort to find teachers who have chosen a career in teaching and want to commit to their students in the long term. Many of the teachers who joined us in the early years are still teaching with us today.

All our teachers are highly qualified, skilled pianists but also have a sense of patience and understanding and have the ability to bring fun and enjoyment into lessons. We have teachers that specialise in Classical, Pop, Jazz, Theory of Music, Graded exams, and teachers that can teach a bit of a mix of all these styles!

We organise at least two concerts a year in each of our locations for students of any age and ability to take part in. These usually take place in Spring and Autumn and provide everyone with an opportunity to enjoy performing in a supportive and informal setting.
