Lazar

Lazar graduated from the University of Oxford with a first class degree in music, he is currently studying a masters in composition at the Royal Academy of Music under the Dr Mosco Carner Scholarship.

Lazar loves teaching and has over five years experience teaching Piano, Saxophone, Theory and Composition. He taught at St Ronan’s School in Hawkhurst and has been with Muswell Hill Piano Teachers for the last three years. In 2017-18 spent a year teaching class music in Israel, Palestine and Nepal where, besides cultivating his teaching in various environments and at vastly contrasting standards, he examined how music functioned and the social role it played in cultures across the world.

Students love his flexible approach to teaching, lessons are tailored to each student but often include a mixture of classical repertoire, pop, jazz and composition and well and theory and aural training. Lazar is experienced in working towards ABRSM or Trinity exams with his students.
