Dan
Dan is a well-rounded working musician and has Grade 8 piano and first class honours in Music Performance and Production. During his time at university accrued skills in a variety of areas including performance, composition and music production. Although he is originally classically trained, during this time he studied many different genres including jazz, pop and many other contemporary genres. This large knowledge base allows Dan great flexibility in his teaching and means he can help his students to focus on their interests and goals across a wide range of genres.
Dan has been teaching in two piano schools in London working with a wide range of ages and abilities starting from as young as 5 years old. He has taught group and individual lessons, working towards ABRSM graded exams with his students as well as teaching harmony and theory and musicianship. His lessons are always personalised to what his students want to learn and he always tries to help his students achieve their goals in a fun and creative way.
Dan also really enjoys playing in his two bands, first gigging and recording with a latin ensemble band, playing salsa and latin Jazz, and also a function band covering a wide range of musical genres.
